SlotLock
What It Is
SlotLock is a practical client-side mod that allows you to secure specific slots in your inventory. No more worrying about accidentally losing valuable items or mistakenly moving important resources.
How to Use
Hover your cursor over the desired inventory slot and press the designated hotkey (default - left Alt). The selected slot will then be protected from any keyboard interactions.
Locked slots completely block all attempts to interact with them through keyboard inputs. You can prevent accidentally discarding expensive gear, mistakenly placing resources in a chest, or unintentionally dropping items.
Important Limitations
Since this is a client-side mod, any server operations will bypass your protected slots. Consider the following specifics:
- When using recipe books for automatic crafting, items from protected slots may be moved
- Automatic pickup of dropped items on the ground can fill locked slots if they have available space
- Quick moving items from containers to inventory also circumvents the lock
- Most other mods interacting with the inventory will inevitably conflict with this functionality
Recommendations
Be aware of potential incompatibility with other mods when using SlotLock. For optimal performance, thoroughly test mod combinations when modifying your modpack.
