Skin Textures
With this mod, you can apply custom skin textures for any player, including yourself. And the best part — everything works exclusively client-side!
Main Features
The mod allows resource packs to change character appearances based on their name or unique identifier. Textures should be placed in the assets/skintextures/textures/entity/player folder within the resource pack. Separate directories are provided for capes and elytras: assets/skintextures/textures/entity/player/cape and assets/skintextures/textures/entity/player/elytra respectively.
File names should match the player's name in lowercase or their UUID with the .png extension. There's also an option to use the hash of the original skin, which can be obtained by holding Shift and right-clicking on any player (especially useful for NPCs).
Currently, the mod affects the display of character skins in-game, player heads, first-person view, and is compatible with the Show Me Your Skin! mod. If you encounter compatibility issues with other mods — please report them!
