Simple Honey

Working with honey mechanics in vanilla Minecraft is extremely frustrating. To collect honey, you need glass bottles, hives must be completely full, and then the redstone complications begin. You have to use a comparator to detect honey levels, another comparator to invert the signal, run wires all over the place... Can't we make this process simpler?
