Simple Corn
The Simple Corn mod fills gaps in vanilla Minecraft by adding corn that integrates seamlessly into gameplay while preserving the original game's style.

Main Features
Corn kernels can be obtained by breaking grass, though the drop chance is slightly lower than regular seeds. Corn plants grow to three blocks tall, matching the real-life height of this crop. All growth stages are shown below:

Harvested ears of corn can be crafted into additional kernels or cooked to produce a nutritious food comparable to steak and suitable for vegetarian diets.

The mod also introduces various chowders, giving milk a new use that the author felt was missing in Minecraft:

Corn fields now generate in villages, and kernels can be used to tempt chickens.

For fun, you can create fireworks with corn kernels - when exploded, they turn into popcorn! However, note that if you add dyes or effects to the recipe, they will be lost.
Additional Features
Corn is compatible with Immersive Engineering for ethanol production - it yields 120 milliliters of fuel.
Starting from version 2.3.5, a configuration option has been added for easy right-click harvesting, solving compatibility issues with other harvesting mods.
Technical Details
- Corn uses a new plant type called denseCrop with a 3×3 grid instead of the standard 2×2
- Mature plants slow players by 65% - perfect for creating a corn maze!
- When harvesting, the top two blocks are checked: with a 60% chance of dropping 2 ears or 90% chance of dropping 1 ear. This means a small chance of getting nothing with a maximum yield of 4 ears
- Corn can be accelerated with bone meal, but requires a large amount (10-20 units)
- Unlike wheat, corn has no system of requirements for adjacent blocks - plant it however you like
- Chicken chowder can be crafted from a bowl of corn chowder and cooked chicken
- Corn field generation weight is 30
