SGS Treasure! Mod

New Version 1.2!

This mod brings a true spirit of adventure to vanilla Minecraft. Various types of treasure chests are randomly buried throughout the game world. Each chest requires a specific key to open - the rarer the chest, the more valuable the reward inside.

To find the location of a hidden chest, you need to locate a graveyard and dig beneath it. Treasures can also be found in sunken ships. Rare Wishing Wells generate in the world and may also lead to treasures.

Note: chests, wells, and sunken ships are rare finds, similar to pyramids and villages. However, generation settings can be adjusted through the configuration file.

Will you be the first to find Blockbeard's treasure?

If you have trouble finding a chest or ship, you can always check the game logs - coordinates are listed there.

Requirements:

Requires Forge to be installed.

Installation:

  1. Delete old versions of Treasure! mod
  2. Delete the old sgs_treasure.cfg file from ../.minecraft/config folder
  3. Unzip the .zip archive into the ../.minecraft/mods directory. The folder structure should look like this:
  • ../mods/sgs-treasure-[version].jar
  • ../mods/sgs-treasure/plans (for version 1.2 and above)

** Important: if you have subdirectories in your mods folder, sgs_treasure! files must be placed in the main mods directory. Otherwise, errors and functionality issues will occur.

Known Issues:

Vanilla chests don't interact well with Treasure! chests. Placing a regular chest next to a treasure chest will cause visual overlapping while keeping separate inventories. Placing a Treasure! chest next to a vanilla chest works correctly.
