Second Screen - Second Screen for Minecraft
This mod transforms your mobile device into a full-fledged second screen for Minecraft, allowing you to track important game information directly from your phone or tablet. Two application options are available: native Android app (version 4.0 and above) and universal web application that works in any modern browser, although the web version currently has limited functionality.
The mod is designed for server installation but can also be installed on the client to display information in single-player games. Works in both single-player and multiplayer modes.
Main Features
The application displays a wide range of server information: list of online players, message of the day (MOTD), player statistics (health, hunger level), as well as world data (weather, time of day).
Key Functions
One of the most interesting capabilities is the block marking system. You can mark any block with a label, and the application will show whether it's activated by redstone. This allows you to, for example, track item presence on mob farms or check quarry status from Buildcraft. Additionally, you can remotely control marked levers directly from your device.
The second important function is inventory viewing on mobile devices. Currently, it's only available in text format and only for the Android application.
Compatibility with Other Mods
The mod supports integration with other modifications. Currently, Thaumcraft support is implemented - you can track aspect amounts in nodes. As other mods update to version 1.8, compatibility expansion is planned.
Usage Scenarios
The application can be useful in two main situations:
- During gameplay to display additional information or completely disable the in-game HUD
- When you're not on the server but want to monitor world status or other players
Mod and application development continues, and interface appearance is constantly being improved.
