SDM Loot Stages

With the SDM Loot Stages modification, you can implement a staged loot system that conceptually resembles GameStages. Important note: all versions below Minecraft 1.21 are outdated and no longer supported.

This module allows you to limit, replace, or modify loot tables and their contents depending on the player's progress stage. You gain full control over rewards — you can redefine drops from blocks, creatures, chests, or fishing loot based on achieved development stages.

Core Features

SDM Loot Stages integrates with KubeJS and CraftTweaker, providing modpack creators and server owners with flexible tools for managing loot through scripts. It's perfectly suited for building gameplay with gradual content unlocking: restricted access to exploration, quest rewards, or progressive resource unlocking.

Usage Examples

For KubeJS

// Server scripts
LootStages.builder("minecraft:blocks/dirt", "one")
    .replaceLootTable("minecraft:chests/village/village_fisher")
    .build();

LootStages.builder("minecraft:chests/village/village_fisher", "two")
    .replaceItem('minecraft:wheat_seeds', 'minecraft:diamond')
    .build();

For CraftTweaker

import mods.lootstages.LootStages;

LootStages.builder(<resource:minecraft:blocks/dirt>, "one")
    .replaceLootTable(<resource:minecraft:chests/village/village_fisher>)
    .build();

LootStages.builder(<resource:minecraft:chests/village/village_fisher>, "two")
    .replaceItem(<item:minecraft:wheat_seeds>, <item:minecraft:diamond>)
    .build();

Key Features

  • Staged progression system for all loot sources: blocks, mobs, chests, fishing, and others
  • Full compatibility with KubeJS and CraftTweaker
  • Ability to completely replace loot tables or individual items
  • Additional restrictions by biomes and dimensions
  • Simple and intuitive builder-style API for script writing
  • Completely rewritten for Minecraft 1.21+

Important Information

All mod versions for Minecraft 1.20 and older are considered outdated and will not receive updates. This mod doesn't add its own content — it serves as a progression development tool and library for modpack creators and scripters.
