SCP-1499, The Gas Mask is a unique mod that adds a new dimension to Minecraft, inspired by the SCP universe. This item, known as the SCP-1499 gas mask, allows players to travel to an alternate reality.
Main Features
The mod introduces a special SCP-1499 gas mask that can be found lying on the ground in the regular world. To pick it up, simply right-click. Once the player wears the mask, they are instantly transported to a completely new dimension.
This dimension features a flat world with a dark sky, dotted with endless stone pillars of peculiar shapes. However, this territory is not safe - it is inhabited by hostile creatures called SCP-1499-1.
Dimension Inhabitants
SCP-1499-1
SCP-1499-1 are humanoid creatures that inhabit the gas mask dimension. They become aggressive if the player approaches too closely or attacks them. When threatened, these creatures emit piercing sounds and demonstrate collective behavior.
Among them, rarer specimens can be found - SCP-1499-1 Leaders. They are slightly larger than regular creatures and have a brownish tint. When a leader becomes aggressive, all SCP-1499-1 within a 40-block radius immediately attack the player.
Usage Mechanics
To return from the dimension to the regular world, the gas mask must be removed. However, there's an important nuance: if the mask is removed without holding the Shift key, the item may disappear, and the player will have to search for a new instance.
Only one instance of SCP-1499 can exist in the world at a time. The gas mask spawns randomly in the regular world, similar to regular mobs.
Technical Requirements
The mod was created using MCreator and requires Geckolib installation for proper operation. Versions are available for Minecraft 1.19.2, 1.19.4, and 1.20.1.
