SCP-149, The Blood Flies
This mod introduces a new dangerous entity from the SCP universe into Minecraft - SCP-149, known as the Blood Flies. These small but extremely dangerous creatures are capable of rapid reproduction and turning their victims into hosts.
Blood Flies spawn naturally on the surface of the overworld, often gathering in groups. They attack both players and villagers. Each bite carries the risk of SCP-149-A infection, leading to the laying of SCP-149 eggs from the host's body. Subsequently, these eggs hatch into new Blood Fly specimens. If the swarm is allowed to spread too widely, the infestation can engulf entire villages.
The mod was created by Zcoper using MCreator and requires Geckolib installation for proper operation.

Why are there messages in the console?
Most mobs use special spawning conditions, meaning they only generate under specific circumstances. When these conditions trigger, corresponding messages are created in the console.
Why can't I summon a mob?
Spawning conditions determine what requirements must be met for generating specific mobs. Some only spawn above Y level 60, others below. Most mobs can only appear in the overworld, not in other dimensions.
Why are features missing in different versions?
It's recommended to play the newest versions of Minecraft. Not all MCreator features are available or the same across different versions. For example, version 1.19.2 doesn't have shield features, improved structure generation, or custom villagers, while version 1.20.1 supports them.
Where does SCP-149 spawn?
SCP-149 can spawn on the overworld surface like a regular monster. However, only a limited number of SCP-149 specimens can exist simultaneously.
SCP-149 Features
Blood Flies are small flying entities that often appear in groups and seek out players and villagers as prey. Despite their fragile size, they are extremely dangerous due to their infection ability. When attacking, there's a 50% chance to infect a target with less than 12 armor points, or 6% if the target has higher protection.
Once a victim is infected with SCP-149-A, they begin laying SCP-149 eggs. Blood Flies are vulnerable to bats, which instantly kill them within a 2-block radius. Without control, even a few Blood Flies can lead to a deadly epidemic.
SCP-149 Eggs and Larvae
Victims infected with SCP-149-A lay numerous SCP-149 eggs and take damage if they don't burn them. These eggs are tiny and begin shaking after 20 seconds, then hatch into SCP-149 larvae. The larvae avoid players and transform into new SCP-149 specimens within 30 seconds. This life cycle allows the swarm to multiply rapidly, making SCP-149 infestations extremely difficult to contain without immediate action.
