SCP-017, Shadow Person

This mod introduces a new adversary to Minecraft, inspired by the SCP universe. This creature is known by the code designation SCP-017 and represents a mysterious shadow-like entity.

SCP-017 spawns exclusively in dark areas and begins stalking players, leaving behind a trail of black smoke particles. When exposed to illuminated zones, the creature emits even more smoke particles and can extinguish nearby torches. When SCP-017 becomes enraged, its eyes glow brightly, and the intensity of the smoke significantly increases.

When attacking a player, the entity grows in size, enveloping its victim in a dense cloud of smoke and applying multiple negative effects: Blindness, Darkness, Slowness, Mining Fatigue, and Weakness. Despite having low health, SCP-017 deals substantial damage and can regenerate after killing other entities, returning to its normal size.

Technical Features

The mod was created by developer Zcoper using the MCreator tool. It requires the installation of the Geckolib library, compatible with Minecraft versions 1.19.2, 1.19.4, and 1.20.1.

SCP-017 is a small translucent humanoid creature that constantly emits black smoke particles. In its normal state, it maintains distance, observing players with unsettling stillness. When a player gets too close, the creature's eyes become visible, and the smoke around it thickens. SCP-017 cannot swim and becomes invisible when submerged in water, with all smoke disappearing.
