Ruby Obsession
Welcome to the world of rubies! This addon for Loot++ adds a completely new precious material to Minecraft - rubies, along with numerous ways to use them.
This modification serves as an excellent example of Loot++ capabilities in version 1.8. All content is implemented through simple files and a built-in resource pack - no programming required!
Obtaining Rubies
There are two main ways to obtain rubies. First, you can find ruby ore underground below level 20. It spawns slightly more frequently than diamond ore, and in deserts and savannas, its generation chance doubles.
The second method is growing rubies as a crop. For this, you'll need ruby seeds, which can be obtained from ruby flowers. These flowers randomly generate in plains-like and forest-like biomes.
Processing Rubies
When the crop matures, simply right-click to harvest ruby slivers. Nine slivers can be crafted into a shattered ruby shard, which becomes a ruby shard after smelting. Nine shards create a shattered ruby, and after smelting - a full ruby.
Tools and Armor
Rubies can be used to create a complete set of tools and armor. They are slightly less durable than diamond but have the same attack power. The full ruby armor set provides protection from fire damage (but not lava, so be careful!).

Food and Decorations
Ruby apples provide effects similar to golden apples, but instead of absorption, they increase maximum health. They can also be crafted into a cake with similar properties.

The modification includes many decorative blocks, including functional redstone elements. The ruby button and pressure plate remain active twice as long as their stone counterparts, perfect for iron doors. The pressure plate only activates for players and outputs 1/16 power per person standing on it.
Special Blocks
The ruby crafting table looks amazing but functions the same as a regular one. However, the ruby furnace works faster and is more fuel-efficient.

Due to the large number of recipes, it's recommended to install a mod for viewing them, such as NEI (Not Enough Items).
