RPChat

The RPChat modification is a simple yet effective solution for role-playing oriented servers. It introduces a multi-level communication system allowing players to interact based on the distance between them.

Main Chat Commands

The mod adds several specialized commands for communication:

• /localchat — sending a message to local chat, visible only to players within a 30-block radius
• /globalchat — standard message to general chat
• /shout — a shout heard by everyone within 80 blocks (message appears in bold)
• /whisper — a whisper available only to those within 5 blocks of you (text appears in gray italics)
• /ooc — out-of-character message highlighted in gold
• /chatmode — changing the default chat mode (global, local, shout, whisper, out-of-character)

Settings and Configuration

All commands can be enabled and disabled through the configuration file. Text formatting settings for each mode and distance adjustments are also available. The /chatmode command can be restricted to server operators only.

Installation and Requirements

Requires Fabric API for operation. Installation is needed only on the server side.

Compatibility

The mod disables the chat reporting system. Compatible with modifications like No Chat Reports, but most messages become unavailable for reporting. Compatibility with Discord integration mods is not guaranteed, although AdvancedChat should work correctly.
