Rotom Appliances
Data Pack for Rotom Pokemon
The original Rotom files in Cobblemon 1.6 turned out to be non-functional, so this project adds Rotom itself and all its forms to the game. You'll get a full implementation with form changes, spawn locations, and some animations from the official Cobblemon team!
Alternative Form Changing Option
For deeper immersion into gameplay, there's a mod version with special blocks. It includes five Minecraft-style objects that Rotom can possess – simply right-click them to change its appearance!
Additional Content
The project perfectly combines with additions like AllTheMons, Mega Showdown, and MissingMons version 3.4 and higher. The latter adds numerous unique animations for each Rotom appliance – be sure to check out these features!
Installation
- Download the file matching your Cobblemon version (1.6c for 1.6+, 1.5 for 1.5)
- Place the pack in the resourcepacks folder
- Add the datapack to your world's save folder: \saves[YOURWORLD]\datapacks
- Activate the resource pack in-game via menu: ESC → Options → Resource Packs
Form Changing
Right-click Rotom with Data Monitor in hand so it can freely change appearance or return to base form if it already has a special form.
Spawn Locations
Rotom can appear:
- In woodland mansions (medium rarity)
- In the redstone room of ancient cities (medium rarity)
- On beaches (very rare, but frequently during thunderstorms!)
- Near Cobblemon equipment (PCshealersfossil analyzersrestoration tanksdata monitors) – within 9×5×9 block radius (rare)
- Near redstone components (blockstorchesoreslampsrepeaterscomparatorsdaylight detectorslightning rods) – within 9×5×9 block radius (rare)
I don't see Rotom on Pokenav or with /checkspawn command
Make sure:
- You checked different positions on ground or possible spawn zones
- You looked in the correct tab
- All requirements are met (biomestructuresblocks etc.)
- Datapack installed correctly
Compatibility with Other Addons
The project is compatible with all addons that don't add their own Rotom (like SaltMons). Exception – MissingMons, specifically made to work together.
Operation on Servers
- Private servers: use freely
- Public servers: allowed when complying with provided license
