Reworked Shulk Origin

This datapack serves as an enhancement to the original Origins mod, completely overhauling the base Shulk origin. It's part of a series that modifies all initial origins — stay tuned for more updates!

For optimal functionality of certain features, installation of the resource pack for the gravity gauntlet texture is recommended, though note it's currently in active development.

Unique Origin Abilities

Enhanced Shulker Inventory: You gain an additional 27-slot inventory (up from the original 9) that persists through death. Activated by the primary key.

Sturdy Hide: Your natural armor provides an additional 10 protection points (improved from 8).

Powerful Arms: You can break natural stone blocks without using a pickaxe.

Increased Appetite: Rapid exhaustion necessitates more frequent food consumption.

Awkward Grip: Your hand structure prevents you from using bows and shields.

Heavy Strikes: Massive arms deal increased damage (+3 hearts) but with reduced attack speed (-20%).

Teleportation: Like a true shulker, you can teleport up to 9 blocks. Activate by crouching and right-clicking while looking at a block. Dense Body: Due to your heavy body and shell, you cannot swim and immediately sink in water.

Duplication: When taking damage with health below 75%, there's a chance to spawn a friendly shulker nearby.

Shulker Projectiles: You can fire homing projectiles that inflict levitation on enemies. Requires targeting an entity within 64 blocks. With the gravity gauntlet, hold crouch and the ability key.

Shulker Neutrality: Shulkers recognize you as one of their own and won't attack unless provoked.

Rooted Stability: While crouching, you stand firmly in place and take no knockback.

Hardened Shell: You can retreat into your shell, gaining high resistance to physical damage, immunity to arrows, and complete knockback immunity. The shell can withstand 14 hits, displayed on your HUD. To regenerate, remain stationary. While enclosed, world interaction is limited, but teleportation and eating remain possible. Save hotbar activator.

Shell Break: Forcibly breaking your shell grants substantial bonuses: speed boost, increased attack speed (offsetting the heavy strikes debuff), and swimming capability. However, in this state you lose the armor bonus, take more damage, and cannot enter your shell. Load hotbar activator.

Wall Clinging: You can adhere to walls while crouching.

Gravity Gauntlet: Utilizing the pressure of the Nether void, you can craft this powerful weapon capable of sucking in entities and firing devastating black holes. Crafting requires descending sufficiently deep into the void (to the point of taking damage) and sequentially combining ingredients: 64 shulker shells → 64 crying obsidian = Compressed Reinforced Crying Obsidian, 64 end crystals → 1 nether star = Empowered Nether Star, then combine the resulting components.
