Retina

Retina is a ray tracing library in datapack format, created for Minecraft: Java Edition version 1.20 and above. Its operation is based on voxel traversal technology.

Unlike similar solutions, this library is capable of detecting collisions with almost all types of hitboxes, including both blocks and entities. Another important advantage is the lack of dependency on entity teleportation, which ensures higher performance in most cases.

The library offers extensive options for configuring input parameters and provides detailed output information. This makes it an indispensable tool for creating custom maps and datapacks with various mechanics: from magical staves and firearms to laser beams and block placement systems.
