Respawn Idols
REQUIRES GECKOLIB
Remember those times when nights in Minecraft were truly frightening and dangerous? When you couldn't just sleep through the night, and every minute of darkness made your heart beat faster? The modern version of the game practically forces the player to sleep, punishing with phantoms and limiting the freedom to choose gameplay style. The Respawn Idols mod radically changes this situation by introducing new items and completely overhauling the sleep and respawn systems!
Now beds by default do not allow setting respawn points and do not provide the ability to sleep. Instead, the player will need to create a Respawn Idol. This unique item allows setting a respawn point in any dimension and anywhere in the world! Moreover, the player will appear exactly in the position where the idol was activated, not randomly around a bed. This means multiple players can choose different respawn points using the same block!
Respawn Idols are available in almost all vanilla stone block variants. Using moss carpet or snow layers, you can add corresponding textures to the idol! (These decorations can be removed with a hoe or shovel respectively).
Additionally, the player can create and use a Dimensional Mirror, which sets the respawn point to the standard world spawn location.
A logical question arises: how then to skip the night?
For this purpose, the mod introduces a new item - the Ancient Dreamcatcher! This semi-rare item can be found in ancient cities, and it allows the player to sleep when held!
Considering that obtaining this item may take significant time, it is recommended to disable phantoms and set a low percentage of players required to skip the night.
