Repurposed Structures - Quilt/Fabric

What is Repurposed Structures?

Repurposed Structures is a mod that reimagines standard Minecraft structures by creating new variations and modifications! Initially, many of these buildings were developed for the Ultra Amplified Dimension mod, but the author realized they would fit perfectly in the regular world as well. Thus, a separate project was born, which continues to expand with new variants of standard structures adapted to different biomes. Over time, other enthusiasts have joined the development, adding even more builds in the spirit of vanilla Minecraft.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Can the mod work only on the server so that vanilla clients can connect?

Answer: Yes! The mod does not add new blocks or mobs, so it can be used exclusively on the server side—this is safe for vanilla clients.

Question: How to disable RS structures in versions 1.18.2 and newer?

Answer: Starting from 1.18.2, all Repurposed Structures are implemented as datapacks. To configure or disable structures, use a special configuration datapack. If you encounter difficulties—don't hesitate to ask!

Question: Is the mod compatible with YUNG's Better Strongholds, YUNG's Better Mineshafts, and other mods by YUNG?

Answer: Yes, all YUNG mods are compatible with Repurposed Structures. Structures from both mods will appear in the world. Note: RS structures will retain their style unless you install special datapacks to change them.

Question: Does the mod conflict with other mods?

Answer: Highly unlikely. Repurposed Structures adds structures directly to biomes, so conflicts are rare. If you find an issue—please report it so we can fix it!

Question: Why don't banners appear in chests?

Answer: To get banners, you need the Luck effect, which is not available in vanilla gameplay. Use other mods or datapacks to obtain this effect and collect banners as Easter eggs!

Question: How to disable advancements?

Answer: To disable advancements, use special datapacks. You can delete files for structures whose advancements you want to keep.

Question: How to change the mod's language?

Answer: Use resource packs to add new languages. You can help with localization!

Question: Can the mod be used in a modpack?

Answer: Yes, you can freely include it in your modpacks.

Question: Can the mod's source code be modified?

Answer: Yes, but comply with the LGPL license. If you plan to distribute a modified version, make the source code open. It's better to first suggest changes to the author—they might be added to the main version of the mod.

Mod Configuration

For versions 1.18.2 and newer

Starting from 1.18.2, most Repurposed Structures parameters are configured via datapacks. You can enable/disable structures, change their spawn rates, and much more. For an example, use the configuration datapack, which will help you understand the settings.

By default, the mod attempts to integrate loot from other mods into its structures. If this is undesirable, disable this option in the main configuration file.

For advanced users: you can add new elements to structures without overwriting the main files! Use the pool_additions folder in the datapack to merge new elements into existing pools. Make sure the added elements have correct Jigsaw blocks to connect with the main structure.

For versions 1.18.1 and older

To configure the mod, go to the config folder, which is above the mods folder, and open the repurposed_structures-forge folder. The configuration is split into several files for convenience. After making changes, restart Minecraft.

Many settings are available, including structure spawn rates, their complete disabling, blacklists for dimensions and biomes, and changes to generation height. Explore the configuration files to learn about all the possibilities!

You can also change the appearance of structures via datapacks. Use a flat world with all structure elements for easy editing.

Pre-made Datapacks

Since most Repurposed Structures use NBT files, template pools, and processors, you can override them with datapacks! This allows you to customize blocks in structures, add elements from other mods, and much more. To use pre-made datapacks, download them, place them in your world's datapacks folder, and reload the game.
