ReOrigins
A modification that reworks the standard origins from the Origins mod, making them more interesting and diverse. Available both as a Quilt mod and in datapack format.
Modified Origins
All origins have retained their core features but received significant improvements:
Arachnid
- Height is 1.5 blocks, allowing movement through one-block-high spaces
- Reduced fall damage that only activates from certain heights
- Makes characteristic spider sounds
- Can attack through cobwebs and move freely on them
- Sees entities caught in cobwebs through walls
- Gained the ability to shoot webs instead of creating traps with melee attacks
- Temporarily immobilizes mobs when hit
- Allows grappling to surfaces when hitting terrain
Avian
- Ability to toggle slow falling effect
- Can dual-wield swords, attacking with primary ability
Blazeborn
- Primary ability shoots three fireballs
- Secondary ability can be activated to set attacked entities on fire
- Allows temporary hovering while active
- Eating fire charges enhances all abilities
Elytrian
- Secondary ability - short rocket boost
Enderian
- Height over 2 blocks, can crouch to reduce to 2 blocks
- Activating secondary ability saves a recall point
- Drains energy, teleporting back when depleted or reactivated
Feline
- Can mine sturdy stone but slower
- Deals increased unarmed damage with claws
- Claws require sharpening on logs or wool
- Meat provides better saturation
- Primary ability: senses nearby huntable animals, making them glow
Merling
- Can dash forward in water while sprinting
- Can craft tridents
- Deals more damage in water with a trident
Phantom
- Allergic to gold, cannot phase through it
- Secondary ability: echolocation scream that makes nearby entities glow
Shulk
- Passive ability: crouching charges shell, increasing resistance
- Taking damage drains the shield
- Secondary ability: shoots shulker bullet affected by gravity
Each origin also makes characteristic sounds.
