Redefined Damage System with ReNDI
The ReNDI mod is now fully updated for Minecraft 1.20.1, offering a fundamentally new perspective on game damage mechanics.
What the Mod Changes
This modification eliminates the outdated default damage immunity system. In the original game, invincibility frames (i-frames) activate after taking damage, making combat encounters illogical and less challenging. ReNDI removes this feature, making every battle more dynamic and demanding of player skill.
Key Capabilities
-
Removal of i-frames: Most damage types no longer grant invincibility periods, making encounters more realistic. However, some protection remains for specific situations - such as contact with lava or attacks from slime creatures.
-
Control over "glass cannon" tactics: The system automatically cancels attacks whose charge power doesn't reach the 10% threshold. This limitation prevents abuse of quick but weak strikes.
-
Flexible knockback settings: Attacks charged below 75% no longer create knockback effects, allowing more precise control over enemy behavior in combat.
-
Complete customization: Through the configuration file, you can finely tune i-frame parameters and attack charge requirements, creating the perfect balance for your playstyle.
