About the Modification

The Reinforced Upgrade mod offers players an alternative development path after obtaining diamond gear. Instead of the standard transition to netherite, you have a choice between two upgrade directions.

Two Development Paths

Hardened Diamond - this option doesn't require special smithing templates and provides access to a unique upgrade branch.

Netherite - the classic option familiar to every experienced player.

Both types of equipment have similar characteristics, except for the creation cost and netherite's fire resistance.

Advantages of Hardened Diamond

The main advantage of the hardened diamond set is the possibility of further improvement to Reinforced Equipment. This will require exploring Ancient Cities in search of a special smithing template.

Forgotten Weapons

The mod adds three new types of weapons that can be obtained through trading with a special type of villager - Sleepless Villagers. If you place a sculk catalyst near such a villager, they will start hearing voices and over time will begin offering forgotten schematics for creating unique weapons.

Important: each villager can offer only two of the three available schematics, which corresponds to the vanilla trading mechanics.

New Biome

In the world, you can discover the unique biome Emerged Abyss, where sculk has broken through to the surface from the underground. A new type of wood grows here, and there are small structures with loot from Ancient Cities. However, be careful - sculk sensors, shriekers, and catalysts are placed everywhere.

How to get the reinforced upgrade smithing template?

The chance to find it in Ancient City chests is 2.1%.

What pickaxe is needed to break reinforced deepslate?

A netherite or hardened diamond pickaxe will work.

How to get reinforced plates?

When breaking reinforced deepslate, there is a 10% chance of them dropping.

Where to find soul ash?

In the Nether, predominantly in soul sand valleys, you can find
soul sand with blue eyes and mouth. Use a brush to
transform it into excess soul sand, then break it to obtain ash.

What to do if I already have netherite equipment?

Use reinforced sandpaper to convert
netherite items back to diamond (netherite is not returned in the process).
The same method works with hardened diamond equipment.

How to create a specific item?

It is recommended to install a recipe search mod (for example, JEI or REI).

Port for Forge?

I'm too lazy to study modding for Forge.

Support for older versions?

No, I update the mod only for new versions.

Plans for new content?

Honestly? I don't know. Months ago I planned to add a new dimension
with a dungeon that appears only once and a very powerful item
available to only one player... but I lost interest.
Maybe someday I'll continue development.
