Reinforced Upgrade

New Development Path for Diamond Equipment

The Reinforced Upgrade modification provides players with alternative options for improving diamond equipment. After obtaining a full set of diamond armor and tools, two development paths open up for you:

• Hardened Diamond (does not require special smithing table templates)
• Netherite (standard upgrade path)

Both options have similar characteristics, except for material costs and netherite's fire resistance.

Advantages of Hardened Diamond

The main advantage of the hardened diamond set is the possibility of further improvement to a more powerful version:

Reinforced Set

Creating this set requires exploring several Ancient Cities to find a special smithing table template.

Forgotten Weapons

The mod adds three new weapon types that can be obtained through a special villager:

Sleepless Villager

If you place a Sculk Catalyst near him, the villager will begin to hear voices. At first, he will trade useless items from Ancient Cities, but upon reaching the maximum profession level, he will begin to offer blueprints for forgotten weapons.

Important!

Each sleepless villager can offer only two of the three available blueprints. It is impossible to get all three from one villager (mechanics similar to vanilla).

New Biome

A new biome can be found in the world:

Emerged Abyss

In this biome, sculk has broken through from underground to the surface. Here you can find a new type of wood and small structures with loot from Ancient Cities. Be careful - Sculk Shriekers, Sensors and Catalysts are also present here!

Questions and Answers

• How to get the reinforced upgrade template?

  The chance to find it in an Ancient City chest is 2.1%.

• What pickaxe is needed to break reinforced deepslate?

  You can use a netherite or hardened diamond pickaxe.

• How to get reinforced plates?

  When breaking reinforced deepslate, there is a 10% chance of them dropping.

• How to get soul ash?

  In the Nether (mainly in soul sand valleys) you can find
  soul sand with blue eyes and mouth. Use a brush to
  turn it into excess soul sand, then break it to get ash.

• What to do if I already have a netherite set?

  Don't worry: using reinforced sandpaper you can
  convert a netherite item back to diamond, but
  netherite will not be returned. This method also works
  with the hardened diamond set.

• How to craft a specific item?

  I recommend installing a mod for searching crafts (such as JEI or REI).

• Port for Forge?

  I'm too lazy to study modding for Forge.

• Can it be ported to older versions?

  No, I only update to new versions.

• Can it be used in a modpack?

  Of course! I would appreciate if you let me know (optional).

• When will there be new content?

  Honestly? I don't know. Months ago I planned to add a new dimension
  with a dungeon that appears only once, with a very powerful
  item available to only one player... but I lost interest.
