Roughly Enough IDs

Roughly Enough IDs is a fork of the JustEnoughIDs mod created to maintain compatibility with additional modifications. This lightweight solution removes limitations on block, item, biome, potion, and enchantment identifiers by implementing the chunk format from version 1.13 in Minecraft 1.12.

The mod utilizes a blockstate palette when saving chunks to NBT format and replaces the byte biome array with an integer array. This implementation ensures high compatibility with other mods, but if you encounter any issues, please report them to the bug tracking system.

Unlike NotEnoughIDs, Roughly Enough IDs allows safe removal of mods from packs without risking corruption of worlds created with them. However, it's crucial to remember: removing Roughly Enough IDs itself will break your world!

Note that tools like World Painter may not work with REID worlds when attempting to modify biomes.

Supported Mods

  • Since version 2.2.0: Compatibility with Biome Staff, Kathairis, Scape and Run: Parasites, WorldEdit, Wyrms of Nyrus
  • Since version 2.0.8: Compatibility with CubicChunks (1.12.2-0.0.1271.0). Now requires MixinBooter
  • Since version 2.0.6: Partial compatibility with Astral Sorcery. Rewrites MixinEnchantmentHelper for better compatibility with other coremods
  • Since version 2.0.5: Compatibility with worlds created using NotEnoughIDs. Worlds will be converted and NotEnoughIDs is no longer required
  • Since version 2.0.3: Compatibility with Realistic Terrain Generation Unofficial
  • Since version 2.0.2: Compatibility with CubicChunks (1.12.2-0.0.1208.0), allowing combination of infinitely tall worlds with unlimited IDs
  • Since version 2.0.0: Compatibility with specific builds of The Twilight Forest

Roughly Enough IDs fully replaces JustEnoughIDs, but as a fork, it may have unique issues not present in the original mod.
