RedWolf's Music Expansion

This modification adds a complete collection of sound discs created by composer RedWolf to Minecraft. All his compositions available on YouTube and other music platforms can now be used in the game.

Finding Music Discs in the World

Most records can be found in standard game structures, although their spawn chance is quite low. For search convenience, the mod is integrated with JEI – hovering over an item will show hints about possible discovery locations for each disc.

Some compositions that were previously used in popular modifications don't generate in loot tables, and their crafting recipes were removed – this prevents duplicate versions of the same tracks.

Disc Engraver

If world searches haven't been successful, you can use a special device – the disc engraver. It allows creating any musical records from blank discs and specific items.

Obtaining blank discs is quite simple – they guaranteed appear in chests next to trap spawners in dungeons. Two such blanks can consistently be found in each such room. They also rarely spawn in plains villages and mines.

To preserve the uniqueness of original discs, all engraved copies receive a special "Engraved" mark. This way, records found in the world remain more valuable, while players get an alternative way to enjoy the music.

The engraver also serves decorative purposes – when placing a blank disc inside, it starts rotating, creating a pleasant visual effect.

Vinyl Sleeves

For convenient storage and transportation of music collections, the mod adds special paper sleeves. Each such sleeve provides nine slots for placing both recorded and blank discs.

Technical Features

The modification is fully compatible with JEI and uses data-driven configuration approaches. Thanks to this, you can use CraftTweaker or custom datapacks to modify crafting recipes according to your modpack needs.
