RaUt

Mod Overview

Due to changes after version 1.16 and loss of interest in the project, further updates to RaUt are unlikely. Developer-oriented features such as additional tags have been moved to LibJF.

RaUt is a modification designed to work harmoniously with large mods but not depend on them (balanced for vanilla gameplay). It adds various items in a "vanilla+" style. For example, armor between iron and diamond, as well as an equivalent to netherite for the overworld. There is also a backpack, recipes for horse armor and chainmail, access to additional resources in creative mode (e.g., command blocks, barriers), cotton as a way to obtain string or a block that can be placed in mid-air. All of this is highly configurable, and each component can be independently modified or disabled.

Added Items

• Aquilorite Armor: crafted from aquilorite, slightly weaker than netherite.
• Aquilorite Ore/Blocks: ore generates in the overworld, the first block is passable, the second behaves like ice.
• Aquilorite Gem: dropped from aquilorite ore and used for crafting more powerful items; replaced with diamond if disabled in settings.
• Aquilorite Paxel: the only tool craftable from aquilorite gems, slightly better than diamond tools.
• Bullet/Gun: acts like a faster bow and arrows but more expensive to craft and does not allow picking up projectiles.
• Cotton Seeds: drop string; can be found by breaking grass.
• Crystal Seeds: found only in chests; their drop grants random effects and can be used to craft golden apples (configurable).
• Boost Block: rapidly accelerates the player; may conflict with maximum speed settings on servers.
• Chainmail Rings: used to craft chainmail armor.
• Air Block: can be placed in mid-air.
• Glass Shards: drop from glass and allow recovering some glass after breaking blocks.
• Ender Plant: used to grow ender pearls.
• Cobblestone Generator: automatically generates a bit of cobblestone; right-click the block to receive the stone.
• Block Breaker: breaks blocks when powered by redstone; use with redstone dust for automation.
• Processed Ores: four items obtained by crafting ores with an anvil; slightly overpowered.
• Steel Tools: slightly better than iron tools but require additional effort to craft (specifically, steel).
• Unprocessed Steel: crafted from coal and iron, smelted into steel ingots.
• Steel Items: behave like iron.
• Steel Armor: again, slightly better than iron.
• Traveler's Ring: grants additional movement speed and allows stepping up whole blocks (useful for running up mountains).
• Angel's Ring: grants creative flight.
• Builder's Ring: increases building range.
• Paxels: behave like the aquilorite paxel but with properties adjusted to their respective materials.
• Staff of Time: used to speed up blocks like furnaces or machines.

Additional Features

You can block items in backpacks and shulker boxes by adding them to the tag: raut:shulker_boxes_illegal.

If RaUt crashes with a NullPointerException after an update, it may be due to invalid configuration settings. Check the configuration file and remove all entries that say: "something": null.
