Random Utilities

The Random Utilities mod was created for personal use on a private server with friends. Includes several unique functional blocks and items with interesting mechanics.

Main Blocks

Magic Chest can contain one item and one magic card. The item inside periodically updates during tile entity ticks. Requires the chest owner or player with the card to be online for functionality. Useful for automatic repair of Tinkers Construct tools or working with heart containers and lunchboxes.

Display Table allows displaying up to 25 different items simultaneously.

Special Items

Lunchbox can store up to 100 food units, automatically restoring hunger from reserves. The automatic version feeds the player as needed.

Heart Container comes in two types: small (100 hearts) and large (1000 hearts). Can store player health and return it when needed. The automatic version maintains player health at one level below maximum until the container is full.

Magic Card provides access to shared magic chests for multiple players. Can be obtained by throwing paper near an enchantment table.

Crafting System

Recipes are available through NEI/JEI. To create automatic item versions, combine them with a Nether Star and a bucket. It's possible to combine large heart containers and lunchboxes into one multifunctional item.

Lunchboxes are filled in the crafting grid, combine to increase capacity, and can be dyed.

The mod includes following commands from Essentials plugin:
