What is this modification?

This mod offers a simple yet important gameplay enhancement that allows players to enter crawling mode with just one button press. This feature was added to the game, but many found it inconvenient to use, so this addition aims to fix that situation. The default activation key is C, but you can always change the assignment through the control menu - the new function appears in a separate "Crawl" category.

How does crawling work?

When you press the corresponding key, the character instantly switches to the crawling position. Technically, this is implemented by creating an invisible block under the character that disappears after some time or can be quickly destroyed. However, it's worth noting that if you continue crawling in open space, the block will no longer hold you.

Settings and configuration

The modification includes a settings file with an important option "shouldContinue". By default, it's disabled (value false) because invisible blocks can sometimes take a long time to disappear. If you enable this option, you'll get the ability to crawl in open terrain without restrictions.

For map creators

A feature of the modification is the ability to programmatically force characters to crawl through commands. You can assign the "crawling" tag to any player or mob through the scoreboard system, making the mod a useful tool for adventure map and mini-game creators.

Important note: There is a similar GoProne mod that performs almost the same function but uses a different technical approach (packets instead of blocks), which may be preferable for some users.
