Premium Wood

We thank scokeev9 for granting us permission to port and update the Premium Wood mod!

Originally, Premium Wood was a modification that fixed certain aspects of oak and birch trees and also allowed crafting different colored planks from corresponding logs without adding new block IDs.

In the updated and ported version, we are only adding the new tree types that were featured in the original mod: maple trees, tiger trees, silverbell trees, purple heart trees, willow trees, magic trees, and apple trees.

Although this mod doesn't offer as much content diversity as modern modifications, it's perfectly suited for nostalgic enjoyment or for modpacks recreating the atmosphere of Minecraft Beta with mods.

Artistic Design

If you are using versions 1.14.4 and above of our ports, the textures have most likely been updated to match the Minecraft style. Artistic design is now built into the mod, no additional installation required.

Premium Wood Trees

All trees, except for the apple tree, add new wood types. You can create all standard wooden items: planks, bookshelves, stairs, fences, gates, doors, trapdoors, pressure plates, buttons, and much more.

Apple Trees

These trees can be found in plains biomes. Apples can now be "picked" by right-clicking on the leaf block with an apple. After some time, the apple will grow back. Only blocks that originally had an apple will regenerate, so the tree won't be completely covered in apples.

Maple Trees

These trees have dark orange leaves and orange trunks. They can be found in forests, flower forests, and/or wooded hills.

Silverbell Trees

These trees have bright green leaves with white flowers and white trunks. They can be found in birch forests.

Purple Heart Trees

These trees have green leaves, the bark of the trunk is beige, and the interior is purple. They can be found in jungles.

Tiger Trees

These trees have brown leaves and brown trunks. They can be found in savannas.

Willow Trees

These trees have green leaves, the bark of the trunk is a faded brown color, and the interior is dark green. They can be found in swamps.

Magic Trees

These trees can be found in mountains or taigas. Be careful when growing these trees! They have a 10% chance of exploding instead of growing when bone meal is used! Plant these saplings in a safe location away from anything you care about! Magic tools are slightly stronger than average wooden tools.

Doesn't Natura already add these trees?

Yes, technically. Natura is another mod that implements many of scokeev9's mod concepts into one comprehensive mod. Premium Wood is the original mod updated for the latest versions of Minecraft with permission from scokeev9 himself. So far, we've updated the overall design and textures of all trees and wood types.
