Prehistoric Fauna is a unique Minecraft addon that transports players to prehistoric times. Embark on an exciting adventure through dimensions inhabited by creatures long vanished from the Earth. You can either bring them back to the regular world or test your skills in the harsh conditions of ancient landscapes.

Rich Prehistoric World

The mod offers three unique dimensions corresponding to different periods of the Mesozoic Era. Each contains biomes created with consideration for the actual geological features of that time. You'll encounter 21 species of extinct animals—from ancient ancestors of dinosaurs and mammals, such as Chromogisaurus and Exaeretodon, to true giants of the Cretaceous Period, including Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus.

In addition to diverse fauna, the mod adds 7 types of unique trees and 12 species of prehistoric plants, making the world truly alive and varied.

How to Start Time Travel

To open a portal to the past, you must find and defeat Henos—the main boss of this mod. After victory, you'll receive a Time Gem, which, when combined with one of the fossils, creates a Totem of the corresponding period. The portal is built similarly to a vertical End portal but can be larger in size.
