Portia

Portia is a unique mod that brings back lost elements from older Minecraft versions and adds completely new blocks and items. The mod's name comes from the English verb "to port," which fully reflects its concept - it contains elements from different eras of Minecraft's development.

Main Content of the Mod

Implementation of Lost Content:

• Cloth - blocks from Minecraft Indev times that were missing in modern versions
• Barrier - invisible, fireproof, and explosion-resistant block for creating boundaries on servers and maps
• Colored Wood - blocks that were mentioned in the original game but never added
• Concrete and Glazed Terracotta - blocks from Minecraft 1.12

New Crafting Mechanics:

• Iron Nugget - created from iron ingot, used for making chains
• Chain - ingredient for chainmail creation
• Improved chainmail recipes - more logical creation system

Expanded Arsenal of Tools and Armor:

• Emerald sets - tools and armor made from emeralds, slightly weaker than diamond
• Redstone sets - weak but easily enchantable tools and armor
• Lapis Lazuli sets - very weak items with high enchantability
• Diamond, gold, and emerald chainmail - modernized versions of classic armor
• Dirt and wooden armor and tools - basic options for beginner players

Special Mechanism Blocks:

• Gold, emerald, and diamond doors with varying strength levels
• Wooden armor - crafted from any type of planks
• Stone armor - alternative to classic options

Unique Liquids and Materials:

• Gaseous lava - deadly substance that instantly kills without protection
• Healing water - opposite of gaseous lava, restores health
• Copper blocks - copper slabs and blocks that oxidize over time
• Enhanced diamonds - stronger diamonds crafted from regular diamonds
• Fixed variants of copper blocks - non-oxidizing versions

FAQ: The mod can be used in public modpacks. Porting to other versions is not currently planned but possible in the future. The project code is freely distributed.
