Polymer - Quality of Life

This modifier functions as a client-server solution, offering players on servers running PolyMc and Polymer a variety of improvements for more comfortable gameplay. Importantly, for correct operation, it's necessary to install the mod on both the client and server.

One key feature is client-side mining—when the client_mining option is enabled in server configurations, the server-side block destruction mechanisms of PolyMc and Polymer are disabled for players with polymer-qol installed. Instead, the client uses Polymer's block synchronization to locally calculate block destruction times, providing a smoother process that is particularly noticeable with high latency.

Another crucial improvement is the absence of block updates. With polymer-qol on the client side, breaking or placing blocks does not trigger visual updates on the client device, eliminating distracting discrepancies in the display, especially with unstable connections.

The mod also includes arm swing prevention. If the prevent_swing parameter is enabled in the server's configuration, players with polymer-qol will not perform the arm swing animation when interacting with fake note blocks (commonly used for modded blocks). This removes unnecessary visual feedback that could be confusing.
