Pollution of the Realms
The "Pollution of the Realms" mod adds a realistic environmental pollution system to Minecraft that occurs when burning various types of fuel. The world becomes filled with carbon and sulfur emission blocks that gradually rise into the air and accumulate in clouds. If left unchecked, these pollutants begin to negatively affect plants, animals, and the player themselves.
Key Features
- Visual pollution blocks of varying density (carbon, sulfur, dust)
- Dynamically forming pollution clouds that move with air currents
- Soil contamination from oil and petroleum product spills
- Acid rain and water pollution
- Dust clouds around crushing and grinding machinery
- Ventilation devices to control pollution spread
- Reduced visibility during heavy smog
- Damaging effects on trees, plants, crops, grass, farmland, animals, and players
- Explosive underground gas pockets
- Ability to add custom pollutant types
- Complete customization through configuration files
- Compatibility with popular mods: Tinkers' Construct, Immersive Engineering, Create, Galacticraft, and others
Cleaning and Protection Methods
Special tools are available to combat pollution - vacuum tubes of different tiers (iron, gold, diamond). Since emissions cannot be stored in inventory, corresponding capacity vacuum bags are required.

Each filter protects against one type of pollutant and requires filling with filter material, as well as regular cleaning of byproducts. This process can be fully automated using hoppers.
Protection System
As pollution levels increase, harmful effects intensify. For protection, you can craft respirators of varying durability, equipped with carbon and sulfur filters. Additional dust filters can be installed.

Air Purifiers
If you don't want to constantly wear protective gear, you can install air purifiers around your home. They consist of a filter and pump and create a clean air zone around themselves. The effective radius depends on the filter material.

Confined Spaces
Special caution should be exercised when placing emission sources in enclosed spaces - this can lead to suffocation or even explosions. To prevent such situations, proper ventilation using chimneys, vents, and pumps must be provided.

Greenhouses
Despite carbon emissions being poisonous to animals and players, they are vital for plants, which absorb carbon during photosynthesis. This can be utilized by planting crops in polluted areas or building greenhouses with carbon dioxide supply.

Chimneys
To prevent emission spread around furnaces, chimneys can be installed. If a furnace produces too many emissions, additional chimney pipes may be required.
