PistonWax
This mod adds a simple but useful function to Minecraft - the ability to treat pistons with honeycombs. After applying wax, pistons operate significantly quieter, which is especially valuable when creating complex mechanisms and redstone circuits.
How to Use
For the mod to work, it must be installed on the server (or in a local world). To make a piston quiet, simply use a honeycomb on the piston with the right mouse button. The wax is applied instantly and begins working immediately.
Volume settings can be adjusted through the configuration file pistonwax.txt, located in the config folder. The file contains a single number that determines the volume level of waxed pistons - the lower the value, the quieter they operate.
It's important to note: if you break and pick up a waxed piston, it will lose its quiet effect. This is intentionally designed for game balance. Externally, waxed pistons are no different from regular ones, but the difference becomes obvious when they are activated.
