Permission Levels

This mod completely replaces the standard /op command in Minecraft, adding the ability to specify access levels for operators. The access level is a numerical value from 1 to 4, corresponding to the permission system described in Minecraft documentation.

This feature is particularly useful when used together with mods that add commands with different access levels. Now you can assign operators level 1 so they can use a limited set of commands without gaining full access to all functions, including server shutdown.

Mod Features

The mod works exclusively on the server side, meaning clients don't need to install it to connect to the server. This significantly simplifies implementation and usage.

Added Commands

  • /op - completely replaces the standard Minecraft command. Accepts player name and access level from 1 to 4, plus an additional parameter for bypassing player limit. On servers without special settings, the access level defaults to 4.

  • /xop - duplicates the functionality of the /op command and serves as a backup option in case other mods also override the standard command.

  • /bypassPlayerLimit - allows managing the operator's ability to bypass player limit by accepting player name and a boolean value.

Important Note

Be careful when assigning access level 3, as in some game versions operators with this level can access the /op command and request elevation to level 4. This issue has been fixed in Minecraft versions 1.16.x and above.
