Ore Nodes
The Ore Nodes modification introduces special "ore nodes" into the Minecraft world - unique deposits with unlimited resource reserves. The main feature is that mining from these nodes is extremely slow, providing a balance between endless resources and the time spent obtaining them.
While exploring the world, you can discover sealed ore deposits that visually appear less exposed compared to regular ore veins. By breaking such a block, you'll reveal either regular ore (80% chance) or a valuable ore node (20% chance) underneath.
Balancing limitations of ore nodes:
- Rare appearance in the world
- Cannot be moved using pistons
- Destroyed by explosions without dropping the block itself
- Mining process takes 10 times longer
The main concept of the modification is to provide players with an alternative method of resource gathering, allowing unlimited ore access provided they invest time in finding and slowly developing the deposits.
In early game stages, ore nodes offer relatively easy access to resources without disrupting game balance, while for experienced players with full gear they significantly ease the routine mining process.
Technical features:
- Compatibility with automation mods
- Support only for vanilla ores (modified ores not supported)
Planned updates:
- Texture updates (specifically lapis lazuli)
- Addition of configuration files
- Possible compatibility with other mods
