OptiBabric (b1.7.3)
OptiBabric is an adapted version of OptiFabric, specifically designed to work with Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 and the Babric modification, which is a fork of Fabric.
Important: This project is not officially associated with the developers of Fabric or OptiFine and does not receive support from them.
Important: OptiBabric does not include OptiFine — you must download it separately!
Installation
First, install Babric in a launcher that supports MultiMC format instances. Then go to the OptiFine History page, expand the Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 section, and select a version compatible with OptiBabric.
Use the "Download, Mirror" buttons to download. It is not recommended to use "Download 1" or "Download 2" as these links are likely not working for most editions.
[Optional] Apply the long distance rendering patch to the downloaded zip archive. Place this archive in the Mods section of your Babric instance settings (or in the mods folder), NOT in minecraft.jar.
Download OptiBabric and also place it in the mods folder. On first launch, OptiBabric will automatically detect and convert the OptiFine archive for compatibility with Fabric.
The converted version will be located at .minecraft/.optifabric/optifine-remapped.jar, but in most cases you don't need to interact with it. OptiBabric will also automatically detect if OptiFine has been replaced with another version and will re-run the conversion procedure.

Compatibility
Since OptiBabric is based on OptiFabric, it works similarly and does not guarantee automatic compatibility with all mods. If you encounter compatibility issues, report them in the issues section.
