OneVersionRemake

OneVersionRemake is an updated plugin for BungeeCord and Velocity, built upon the original OneVersion solution by johnnywoof. This tool has been completely rewritten from scratch to provide compatibility with Velocity and add numerous improvements and new features.

Key Features

The plugin allows administrators to set a list of allowed protocol versions for connecting to the game network. Any client using an unsupported version will be automatically rejected with a customizable kick message (with support for HEX colors for versions 1.16+).

Additionally, you can configure a special message of the day (MOTD) displayed to clients with unsupported versions, including player count information and hover tooltips. Text messages support placeholders {version} and {clientVersion} to display supported versions and the client's version respectively.

Text Formatting

For text formatting, OneVersionRemake uses the popular MiniMessage system, allowing for complex formatting. MOTD and kick messages support gradients and HEX colors for Minecraft versions 1.16 and above.

External Connections

During startup, the plugin may establish connections to external resources for various purposes:

bStats Statistics

The plugin sends anonymous statistical data to the bStats service. This feature can be disabled through the global configuration in the plugins/bStats folder.

Version File

The plugin downloads data for the versions.json file from an external URL. This occurs only during the first startup or when the version auto-update option is enabled in the configuration. Different data sources are used depending on the plugin version.
