OmniComp: Compressed Blocks
The OmniComp mod introduces a block compression system to Minecraft 1.21 that helps you efficiently save inventory space. Now when mining resources, your inventory won't get cluttered with cobblestone and other materials thanks to the three-level compression system.
How It Works
Using a regular crafting table, you can convert standard blocks into their compressed versions. For example, regular cobblestone transforms into first-level compressed cobblestone, which can then be compressed to second and third levels.
Supported Materials
Currently, the mod fully supports compression of the following blocks:
- Dirt and coarse dirt
- Cobblestone and mossy cobblestone
- Stone and deepslate
- Gravel and sand
- Various types of sandstone
- Andesite, diorite, and granite
- Calcite
- Netherrack
- Soul sand and soul soil
- End stone
Developers continue working on adding new compressible materials in future updates.
Precious Resources
OmniComp also allows you to compress valuable resources you've been hoarding. Now you can create compressed versions of emeralds and diamonds, which is especially useful for those who like to stockpile large quantities of valuable materials.
