Old Legends - Resurrection of Ancient Tales
In the world of Minecraft, echoes of ancient legends have resounded once more. The time has come to remember the greatest stories that once captivated imaginations. Explore narratives forgotten by time, uncover buried secrets, and face new (or perhaps ancient?) challenges.
What Awaits You
Old Legends mod enriches the game with numerous interesting additions: new items, unique structures for exploration and valuable loot collection, as well as special achievements.
Legendary Artifacts
The game introduces three exceptional items, each with its own unique features:
Emerald Mourning - a mighty sword imbued with the power of death. Possesses two passive and one active ability.
Swallows Storm - an electrifying shield that absorbs lightning like cookies. Has three passive and one active ability.
Flutter Echo - a pickaxe capable of altering the threads of time. Endowed with two passive and one active ability.
New Mechanics
The mod introduces three original game systems:
Unique mechanics for ancient legend items: Awakening.
Reliquary: offer sparkling items to the Grinning Hoarder and receive rewards in return.
Rune Table: used for crafting runes.
Awakening System
Restore ancient legends and unleash their true power. For this, you'll need two new items: Pale Gem and End Extract.
Pale Gem: can be excavated with a brush at archaeological sites.
End Extract: obtained each time you defeat the Ender Dragon.
From 1 Pale Gem and 4 Netherite Ingots, you craft the Awakening Upgrade

Then place the Old Legend Item, Awakening Upgrade, and End Extract in the Smithing Table.

Congratulations! You have resurrected an ancient legend!
Reliquary

The reliquary is a container block similar to a chest but with only 3 slots.
You can only place sparkling items inside. When night falls and you lock the reliquary (at 00:00), the Grinning Hoarders take them and reward you for these treasures.
Each sparkling item has a different value, which can be learned from the wiki or discovered independently. For each slot, there's a multiplier applied to the item.

And remember: once the reliquary is locked, it cannot be opened again.

To craft the reliquary, you need the Reliquary Blueprint, which can be obtained through vanilla archaeology or found in Ancient Cities or Strongholds.
