Leaf Behavior Modifications
With this modification, breaking a leaf block yields approximately 125 leaves of the corresponding type (avoid breaking large quantities of leaves simultaneously to prevent lag). These leaves can be crafted into armor and tool sets with low durability but high operational speed.
Leaves can also be compressed - placing 9 identical leaves in a 3×3 crafting grid produces a compressed leaf, which creates tools with improved characteristics. Additionally, compressed leaves can be used to craft saplings of the corresponding trees. Further compression - 9 compressed leaves transform into a double compressed leaf.
An interesting feature is that breaking any leaf block has a 0.1% chance to drop a mystery leaf, which functions similarly to regular leaves and can be used to create a mystical sapling. Although the mystery tree grown from such a sapling currently doesn't possess special properties - it simply adds a new wood type.
Mixed Leaves
Combining all 9 varieties of regular leaves in a crafting table produces a mixed leaf, which behaves like ordinary foliage but provides access to additional recipes. This type doesn't have a corresponding tree.
Combustion Properties
- Regular leaves: burn for 1 tick
- Compressed leaves: burn for 10 ticks
- Double compressed leaves: burn for 100 ticks
Fantastic Additions
The mod introduces a new ore - leaf ore, found in two variations: stone and deepslate. Mining this ore yields a resource called leafstone.
At night, a new mob appears in the world - the leaf monster. It is neutral and only attacks when provoked. After defeating the monster, it drops one type of mystery leaf, and with a 1% chance - a leafite upgrade template. This template allows upgrading netherite to leafite and can be duplicated using the vanilla recipe with a double compressed mystery leaf.
Divine Crafting
Combining an enchanted golden apple, 4 leafstone blocks, and 4 double compressed mixed leaves allows creation of the Token of the Leaf God - an item for summoning a powerful boss.
The Leaf God is a formidable opponent modeled after the Wither but superior in strength. After defeating it, you receive a damaged leaf core.
Repairing the damaged core requires 4 leafstone blocks and 4 double compressed mixed leaves. The complete core is used together with the upgrade template to transform netherite into leafite.
New Enchantments
Two unique enchantments have been added:
- Garden Shears - for weapons (maximum level 5): increases damage against leaf-type creatures, incompatible with other damage enchantments
- Leaf Protection - for armor (maximum level 4): provides resistance to special leaf-type damage, incompatible with other protection enchantments
Compatibility
With Geckolib installed, the leaf core gains a spinning animation.
