Momentum

Momentum is a unique enchantment that transforms ordinary tools into powerful resource extraction instruments. This spell functions as a classic vein miner in vanilla style while providing the ability to instantly break almost any block.

Key Features

This enchantment belongs to the treasure category and can be found in various world structures: jungle temples, strongholds, abandoned mineshafts, dungeons, end cities, as well as acquired from villager trades. It's important to note that Momentum cannot be obtained through the enchantment table.

The enchantment is mutually exclusive with Efficiency - it's impossible to have both these improvements on the same tool simultaneously.

Working Mechanics

Tools enchanted with Momentum gradually accelerate when consecutively mining identical blocks. The mining speed increases with each subsequent identical block, with the timer resetting only when switching to a different block type.

It's worth noting that acceleration doesn't apply during partial block breaking or during their natural instant destruction, although the speed changes accordingly.

Limitations and Features

Without the Haste II effect, it's impossible to instantly break blocks after the first (8 * hardness^0.5) blocks. For ores, this is approximately 13 blocks, and for obsidian - about 56 blocks.

The acceleration growth rate is proportional to (2^-hardness). To achieve instant mining when using netherite tools, approximately 7 blocks are required for ores and 54 blocks for obsidian.

Compatibility

The modification requires installation of the latest version of Blueprint and works on Minecraft versions 1.16.4 and above.
