Currently in Alpha!

MiniRegion is an optimization mod that completely reworks the existing chunk system to significantly reduce the size of world region files.

At this moment, the mod is in active alpha testing phase, so we strongly recommend avoiding its use on existing game worlds. However, if you wish to participate in development and help test the mod, you can try it on a new world - comparing file sizes or tracking errors in logs. Theoretically, the mod should be able to work with already created worlds, but note an important caveat: worlds that were opened with Mini Region lose compatibility with the original game version.

Until the stable version release, don't expect compatibility between different alpha versions of the mod, as critical changes may be implemented during development.

Current implemented optimizations include:

• Completely new serialization of basic chunk data (size reduction of approximately 16%)
• Reduction of chunk blocking size from 4096 bytes to 1024 bytes (additional reduction of approximately 29%)
