Mineshot Reforged - Mod for Creating High-Quality Screenshots
Mineshot Reforged is a modification for Minecraft on the Forge platform, designed for creating ultra-high resolution screenshots with the option to use an orthographic camera.
This project is a continuation of the original Mineshot mod by Barracuda, for which we express great gratitude to the original developer. The main goal of Mineshot Reforged is to maintain the functionality of the original mod in current versions of Minecraft and Forge, so not all features of the initial version are available.
Controls and Settings
Controls fully correspond to the original Mineshot:
- F9 - take screenshot
- Numpad 4 - rotate left
- Numpad 6 - rotate right
- Numpad 8 - rotate up
- Numpad 2 - rotate down
- Numpad 7 - top view
- Numpad 1 - front view
- Numpad 3 - side view
- Numpad 5 - switch between perspective and orthographic projection
- MOD-key (Left Ctrl) + Numpad 5 - switch between fixed and free camera
- MOD-key + Numpad 4, 6, 8 or 2 - incremental rotation instead of smooth
- Plus - zoom in
- Minus - zoom out
All key bindings can be changed in the Minecraft controls menu. Since Forge 1.15 doesn't have a graphical interface for configuration yet, screenshot sizes must be changed manually in the file
It's important to note that created screenshots will be quite large (4K is already 23.7 MB), so carefully choose your resolution. Screenshots are saved in Targa format with a maximum resolution of 65535×65535 pixels.
Current Limitations
Some features are missing in the current version of Mineshot Reforged:
- Tiled rendering: only off-screen framebuffer rendering is available
- No graphical interface for parameter configuration
