MC Heli Privacy Shield - Protect Your Privacy
This mod is an essential addition to the popular MC Helicopter Mod that adds realistic helicopters and aircraft to Minecraft. However, the original mod has a serious flaw in the form of a function that transmits client confidential data to the server.
Security Issue
The original MC Helicopter Mod automatically sends to multiplayer servers:
- Screenshots from your client
- List of installed mods
- Other private data
This creates a serious privacy threat, as server administrators can access your personal information with a simple command.
How Protection Works
MC Heli Privacy Shield completely changes the mod's behavior when receiving server requests:
- Data transmission blocking - instead of sending real information, an empty response is sent
- Alternative data - ability to send dummy data instead of real data
- Notifications - alerts about attempts to obtain your data
Configuration and Usage
After installation, the mod immediately starts protecting your privacy. For fine-tuning, a graphical configuration interface is available.
Data Substitution Mode
You can create a text file with a dummy mod list:
Then specify the file path in the settings - and when the mod list is requested, your version of the data will be sent.
Installation
- Make sure Minecraft Forge is installed
- Place the mod file in the mods folder
- Install the main MC Helicopter Mod
