Mansion Redux
This datapack provides a complete overhaul of the woodland mansion, bringing it up to modern standards with several significant improvements.
Core Changes
- The generation system has been completely reworked - mansions now feature varied shapes and layouts
- Room variety has been substantially expanded with new content and designs
- Greater focus on illagers - removed spawning of other hostile mobs in mansions so players can concentrate on battling these specific enemies
This project also doubles as a technical demonstration showcasing multiple advanced structure generation techniques for datapacks.
Technical Features Implemented
- Exterior wall generation system that functions independently of the structure's shape and layout
- Loot placement governed by pre-established coded rules
- Rooms composed of multiple segments with specific rules for block variety
- Base supports that extend downward, similar to systems used prior to jigsaw structures
Although this datapack primarily served as a technical demonstration, I ensured it remains engaging and enjoyable to explore.
