Makkit

An In-Game Editor for Minecraft

Makkit (pronounced "Make-it") is a lightweight creative modification for world editing, designed for Fabric in Minecraft version 1.16 and above. Its main goal is to speed up numerous simple building operations while remaining extremely user-friendly to master!

Key Features

  • Direct editing within the game world with real-time visual selections
  • Ability to see other players' selections in multiplayer
  • Moving and resizing selected areas directly with the mouse—no commands or complex key combinations needed
  • Simple transformations: filling selected zones with blocks entirely or just walls
  • Copying and pasting selected sections with the ability to rotate relative to different axes
  • Mirroring function for selections along axes for easy creation of symmetrical structures like roofs
  • Pattern tool for filling blocks in a specific direction as patterns
  • Change history with undo and redo action functionality

Installation

The mod requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin to function. For additional interface customization, you can install Mod Menu.

Development Status

The mod is in the beta testing stage, so rare errors may occur. Each version is thoroughly tested before release to maintain stability. In case of any issues, you can always use the undo function!

Feature Limitations

Although Makkit significantly simplifies editing in creative mode, it does not cover all possible functions. The mod specializes in the most common operations with intuitive controls but is not a replacement for mods like WorldEdit. It is recommended to use them together for maximum efficiency!

Future updates plan to add compatibility with WorldEdit, including using selected areas as selections for WorldEdit.

Compatibility

The mod is exclusively developed for Fabric and Fabric API. A version for Forge is not currently planned, as some features are difficult to implement in that environment. However, if someone wishes to create their own implementation in Kotlin via a pull request in a separate branch, a release of a Forge version is possible.
