Lock and Key

With this mod, you can securely protect your valuables! Locks and keys are now available for various blocks in Minecraft.

How to Install a Lock

To lock a door, chest, barrel, or any other compatible block, simply press Shift + Right-click with a trial key in hand. Each key is assigned a unique identifier, similar to maps. After installing the lock, the block becomes invulnerable - it cannot be opened or destroyed.

Opening Protected Blocks

To access a locked object, use the corresponding key. Simply right-click on the block with the correct key, and the lock will open.

Creating Key Duplicates

Lost your key? No problem! You can create a copy on a smithing table. For this you will need: a trial key, a copper ingot, and bolt armor trim. The resulting duplicate will be fully functional and will open all the same locks as the original.

What to Do If You Lose a Key

If you lose all keys to your storage, you'll have to resort to forceful methods. Explosives, such as TNT, will help you regain access to locked blocks. Be careful and remember to store your keys in a safe place!
