Localized Chat - Chat Range Limitation

The Localized Chat mod introduces realistic distance limitations for player communication via text chat. Now your messages will only be visible to those nearby, making communication more natural and situation-appropriate.

This mod pairs excellently with Simple Voice Chat by henkelmax, creating a comprehensive local communication system.

Currently, only range settings and error code colors are configurable.

Pre-3.0.0 Functionality

Players can also send server-wide messages, but this will cost hunger points. All parameters are fully customizable.

Compatibility

The mod is incompatible with other chat mods such as Discord integration or FTB Utilities chat.

Installation

The mod is universal and doesn't require client-side installation. It also works perfectly in local networks or via Hamachi.
