Life Series Mod
This mod is an exact recreation of the live series by popular Let's Player Grian for Minecraft using the Fabric mod platform. Development aims for maximum usability through automation of key processes.
Functionality includes automatic life tracking, team color automation, session timers, automatic Boogeyman selection and kill tracking, and many other quality of life improvements.
Installation Features
The mod must be installed on the server side and is recommended (though optional) on the client side. The client version provides a graphical interface for many functions, which significantly simplifies management and reduces the need to use commands.
Available Seasons
The mod includes all live series seasons: Third Life, Last Life, Double Life, Limited Life, Secret Life, and even Wild Life!
Wild Life - Special Case
This version of the online Wild Life series exists only in this mod, developed with great effort. The uniqueness of Wild Life lies in the fact that for this version, the mod must be installed both on the server and on all clients of each player, as some mechanics cannot be implemented without client-side modifications.
IMPORTANT: Wild Life affects Minecraft's basic mechanics, so using other complex mods or modified clients (such as Lunar Client) may cause conflicts and disrupt some functions. Some elements may also trigger anti-cheat systems on the server, so it is recommended to disable protection systems during play.
Basic Usage
Selecting a Series
After the first server startup, you need to select the desired series using the /lifeseries chooseSeries command or /lifeseries setSeries <series> if the client part is not installed. The system will guide you during the registration process.
Starting a Session
To begin a gaming session, first set its duration with the /session timer set <time> command, where <time> is specified in the format: 30m, 1h, 1h45m, etc. Then activate the timer with the /session start command.
Game Balancing
Like the developer's originals, most seasons contain lists of prohibited items to maintain game balance. Typically these include maces, end crystals for creating crystals, strength potions, and similarly overpowered items. Prohibited items are automatically removed from inventories, and crafting such items is blocked.
For enchantments, there is a limitation mechanic that reduces some combat enhancements to level one by default. In versions with banned bookshelves, the game algorithm has been modified to allow obtaining more improvements through the enchanting table.
Configuration
If the Life Series mod and Cloth Config are installed on the client side, the /lifeseries config command opens a graphical settings editor. All files are located in the config/lifeseries/* folder for each individual season. Update changes using /lifeseries reload or the vanilla /reload command.
Configurable:
- Default life count, blacklists, enchantments, item drops when losing all lives, etc.
- Tasks for Secret Life in the
config/lifeseries/secretlife/configs, where you can edit easy, hard, and red tasks. - Rewards for Secret Life tasks: file
config/lifeseries/secretlife/task_rewardloottable<version>.json. - Various Wild Life settings including trivia, snail features, size shifting, and more.
