Starting from version 0.3.20, the Embeddium mod now includes built-in support for Fabric Rendering API, making Lazurite unnecessary. We recommend installing the latest version of Embeddium.

Lazurite is an adaptation of the Indium mod for the Forge platform, designed to provide compatibility with Fabric Rendering API (FRAPI) when using Fabric mods on Forge via Sinytra Connector. This addon also resolves compatibility issues with some other modifications.

Lazurite serves as an additional module for the rendering optimization mod Embeddium, adding support for Fabric Rendering API. This API is required by many mods that use advanced graphical effects and is not natively supported by Embeddium directly. Lazurite is based on the reference implementation Indigo, which is part of Fabric API.

It's important to note that Lazurite is not supported by the Indium developers. Please do not report Lazurite issues to their bug tracking system or Discord server. Use Lazurite's issue tracker for reporting bugs.

To run Lazurite, you need the Forgified Fabric API and Embeddium mods.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which mods require Lazurite?

Any mod using Fabric Rendering API will require Lazurite when working with Embeddium. Such mods include: Campanion, Bits and Chisels, LambdaBetterGrass, Continuity, Packages, and many others. Some of these mods may function without FRAPI implementation but will have incorrect textures and models.

Does Lazurite affect performance?

The impact of Lazurite itself on performance should be minimal, however mods using Fabric Rendering API may themselves affect performance. Lazurite does not provide performance benefits compared to using only Embeddium.
