Wizard Villagers
This modification represents an unofficial port of the famous GuardVillagers mod by MrSterner to Minecraft version 1.21.1. Now village guards have gained the ability to use magical powers!
Key Improvements and Capabilities
One of the most significant fixes was the proper functionality of crossbow users - guards now confidently shoot from crossbows without previous technical issues. Enhanced bow shooting based on MrSterner's original code has also been implemented.
Compatibility with Magic Systems
The main innovation of the mod is integration with popular magic mods:
- Guards can use magic wands and enchanted blades
- Basic wands provide access to simple spells (such as Fireball)
- Netherite wands unlock advanced magical techniques (like Meteor Shower)
- The system excludes friendly fire from spells
Fire, Frost, and Arcane wands are considered basic, while their Netherite versions and tier 4 weapons belong to advanced categories.

Wand Wizards
Basic Elements: Fire, Frost, Arcane Advanced Elements: Netherite wands, Ruby Fire wands, Smaragdant Frost wands, Crystal Arcane wands Spells:
- Basic: Fireball, Frost Shard, Arcane Bolt
- Advanced: Meteor, Blizzard, Arcane Missiles
Magical Blades
Basic Blades: Fire, Frost, Arcane Spellblades Advanced Blades: Fire, Frost, Arcane Claymores Techniques:
- Basic: Fire, Frost, Arcane Spellstrike
- Advanced: Fire, Frost, Arcane Burst
Optional Systems
Elemental Wizards: Access to Air, Water and Earth wands with the following spells:
- Basic: Air Cutter, Water Whip, Stone Spear
- Advanced: Aeroburst, Explosive Bubbles, Shattering Stone
Archers Magic: New guards have a chance to master the "Magic Arrow" ability:
- Base activation probability of 5%
- Increases up to 15% with ranged damage growth
Archers Expansion: New guards can gain access to additional abilities:
- Fan of Fire, Arctic Volley, Enchanted Crystal Arrow
- Same activation probability system
Paladins and Priests: Guards gain the ability to use holy skills:
- Holy Prevention, Circle of Healing, Magical Barrier
By default, the configuration sets the base drop chance of equipment to 0.
